Verovatno “Alan Fitzpatrick’s Day” prošle godine u Dublinu.

03. Možeš li nam reći nešto o tvom najnovijem EP izdanju “The Colours Of A Dream (11:11 The Awakening)”?

Da ste me to pitali pre 10 godina verovatno bih priželjkivao ovo gde sam sada.

Nema prečica u ovoj industriji, moraš verovati u sebe i svoje ideje i uspećeš.

01. What was the trigger for you to dedicate your career to electronic music?

It’s the only thing I’ve really ever been good any good at. I spent most of my teenage years in clubs, surrounded by electronic music. It became my passion, it still is. I’m happiest when I’m in the studio or behind the decks.

02. What’s the most memorable gig that you did and why is it special in your heart?

Probably “Alan Fitzpatrick’s Day” last year in Dublin. I know I have a huge following in Ireland but I never dreamed that I could hold my own event of this size. The festival sold out within a week too – it was a really great achievement for me. And it’s happening again this year!

03. Your new EP ‘The Colours Of A Dream (11:11 The Awakening)’ – what kind of emotion and story is behind it?

Last year I didn’t have a massive amount of music out, I had such a busy touring schedule and other commitments that my releases sort of took a back seat. So this year I was really excited to put out a body of new music again. Some of the tracks I’ve had on my laptop for a long time and some are new – I just felt they worked really well together. The lead track ‘Eleven Eleven’ was supposed to be released on a different label but I kept it for myself and asked Polymod to remix it. His remix was wicked and those two tracks were the basis of the whole EP. It’s always good to start the new year with a really strong release and set the tone for the rest of 2019.

04. What makes a good warmup DJ for you?

I think a good warmup DJ’s is someone who can actually energize the crowd. They need to be patient with their set and know when to build the tension and when to push the bpm – which can be tricky. It’s very easy for warmup acts to fall into the trap of playing peak time tracks too early at a party.

Someone that can actually warm up the crowd and be patient, knowing when to push the bpm and when to build the tension

05. If you weren’t doing music – what would you do?

I’d probably be working in IT or marketing or something like that. Not because I overly enjoy those roles – but this was my job before I started my career in music.

06. From this point in your life what seems unreachable, but you would like to reach it out one day?

If you asked this question ten years ago – I’d probably say where I’m at in my career now was unreachable! But here I am. Probably scoring music for a film or something like that. I’ve had track a play on a really popular British T.V programme and that was a real buzz for me – so yeah, having my music in a film would be wicked. Definitely something to work towards.

07. You worked with many big artists of today like Adam Beyer, Carl Cox, Joseph Capriati, and others. What are some lessons that you learned from them, and what can we learn from you if we were your apprentice?

Yeah, I’ve worked with some really big names in the industry. I guess what I’ve learned from them is determination and commitment. And if you were my apprentice, you’d learn the value in hard work. There are no shortcuts in this industry, you’ve just got to believe in yourself and your ideas and you’ll succeed.

08. You’ve been to Serbia already, what can Serbian clubbers expect from you on 8th of February at Blender party?

I’ve got so many new tracks to be released on my label ‘We Are The Brave’ – I’m really excited to play them out. I love the Serbian crowd and can’t wait to be back. It’s a shame it’s taken so long! Expect a lot of new music from me, it’ll be a wicked vibe.

Thank Alan for your time, see you soon on the dancefloor!
